Dr. Peter D. Ward is a paleontologist and professor of biology at the University of Washington in Seattle. He has appeared on PBS, NOVA, Animal Planet, and TED and is author of On Methuselah’s Trail: Living Fossils and the Great Extinctions; Under a Green Sky: Global Warming, the Mass Extinctions of the Past, and What They Can Tell Us about Our Future; and The Call of Distant Mammoths: Why The Ice Age Mammals Disappeared.
